Best for: Daily guidance, quick clarity, yes/no questions. The simplest spread is often the most powerful. One card, one question, one clear message. Don't underestimate it — a single card drawn with genuine intention can be more illuminating than a ten-card spread drawn out of habit.
Spread 2: The Three-Card Spread
Best for: Most questions. The three-card spread is the workhorse of tarot. The classic layout is Past / Present / Future, but the positions can be adapted: Situation / Action / Outcome, Mind / Body / Spirit, or You / The Other / The Relationship.
Spread 3: The Five-Card Cross

Best for: Professional decisions. Four cards: Current Situation, Opportunity, Challenge, Advice. Simple, focused, and remarkably accurate for work-related questions.
Spread 6: The Month Ahead
Best for: Monthly planning. Twelve cards laid in a circle, one for each month, with a thirteenth card in the center representing the overarching theme of the year. This is a powerful spread to do at the new year or on your birthday.
Spread 7: The Celtic Cross
Best for: Deep, complex questions. The Celtic Cross is the most famous tarot spread — ten cards that explore every dimension of a situation: the present, the challenge, the past, the future, the foundation, the near future, your attitude, external influences, hopes and fears, and the final outcome.
